Jakarta (ANTARA) - Pakistani Ambassador to Indonesia Abdul Salik Khan has conveyed a message of peace during a meeting with Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD. "I am very pleased to meet coordinating minister Mahfud MD on this day," Abdul Salik Khan said after the meeting in Jakarta Wednesday.

The meeting focused on bilateral meetings since the two countries had good relations and friendship.

"I came here with a message from the Pakistani leadership to Indonesia that Pakistan is a peaceful country," he said.

The ambassador revealed that Pakistan wanted peace in all areas with neighboring countries and to establish peace in the world.

"We consider Indonesia as one of the most important countries and the largest Muslim citizens in the world. Also, we want all relations can be strengthened especially in the field of economics and trade,” he said.

The meeting was intended to convey the message of peace to the people of Indonesia.

"We want the two countries that have the largest Muslim population in the world to work together and strengthen the relations between the two countries. The two countries also safeguard other Muslims in Palestine, Myanmar, and Kashmir. This is what we support," he said.

Therefore, the ambassador invited Mahfud to visit Pakistan.

"Hopefully the visit can be accomplished for the comfort of both countries," Ambassador Abdul Salik remarked. (INE)
