Majalengka, W Java (ANTARA) - A Garuda aircraft, carrying 69 Indonesian crew members of the Diamond Princess cruise ship from Haneda Airport in Japan, landed at the Kertajati Airport in West Java on Sunday night.

In accordance with the plan, the 69 Indonesian citizens will be transported to Indramayu Port aboard five buses that were at the airport before the aircraft landed at 11:03 p.m. local time.

By 11:12 p.m. local time, the Indonesian citizens were still aboard the aircraft.

From the port, they will board a ship to the observation site on Sebaru Kecil Island, Thousand Islands, off North Jakarta's coast.

The 69 Indonesian citizens had been quarantined for over two weeks aboard the cruise ship in connection with the spread of the coronavirus, or COVID-19, before being repatriated to Indonesia.
