Only six COVID-19 patients are receiving medical treatment at the Ahmad Mochtar Hospital in Bukittinggi and other several hospitals.
Lubukbasung, W Sumatra (ANTARA) - Some 11 of the 17 people testing positive for the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Agam District, West Sumatra Province, recovered from the disease, a spokesman confirmed.

"Only six COVID-19 patients are receiving medical treatment at the Ahmad Mochtar Hospital in Bukittinggi and other several hospitals," spokesman for the Agam District Task Force for the Acceleration of COVID-19 Handling Khasman Zaini remarked on Friday.

The 11 patients, who recovered from the disease, came from the clusters one and two. Five of the eight patients that recovered on Wednesday came from Baso while one respectively from the sub-districts of Canduang Lubukbasung and Ampekangkek.

Another patient from Baso Sub-district recovered from the disease on Thursday.

"They were confirmed to have fully recovered after the results of swab test conducted twice came negative. The remaining six patients are still being treated," he remarked.

Most patients that recovered are medical workers. They were exposed to the virus after coming in close contact with a COVID-19 patient.
