Minister of Research and Technology/Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (Menristek / BRIN) Bambang PS Brodjonegoro has called on the people to work together to fight the COVID-19 outbreak.
"Let us work together to maintain the public's resilience to COVID-19," he told ANTARA, Jakarta, Sunday.
Minister of Research and Technology Bambang expressed hope that all Indonesian people would continue to implement the COVID-19 prevention protocol while celebrating Eid Al-Fitr.
Even though ministers were unable to meet with one another because of the COVID-19 outbreak, he said he was still able to meet with other ministers under the leadership of President Joko Widodo and Vice President Maruf Amin, via virtual, using Whatsapp.
He also kept contact with families in other areas through the network.
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bambang performed the Eid Al-Fitr Prayer at home.
"Eid Al-Fitr celebration this time is indeed different because of pandemic," the minister said on his Instagram account.
"In this holy day, allow me and my family to apologize for any mistakes. Happy Eid Al-Fitr 1441 H," he said.
