Shortly after arriving in Solo City, Jokowi boarded a luxury multipurpose vehicle Toyota Alpard to travel to the graves of his mother and farther in the village, located some 10 kilometers away from the city.
Upon arrival at the cemetery at around 9 a.m. local time, Jokowi was greeted by his two younger sisters, Ida Yatgki and Titik Relawati, who later escorted him to the graves.
Chief of Selokaton Village Sutino confirmed that the president paid an hour-long devotional visit to the graves of his parents.
During the visit, Jokowi led the prayers for his late parents, he stated.
This is Jokowi's first visit to the graves since the demise of his mother in March 2020.
