Gunungsitoli, N Sumatra (ANTARA) - The Gunungsitoli city administration in North Sumatra confirmed on Saturday that another doctor at a local general hospital was exposed to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), thereby bringing the count of affected doctors to two.

The two doctors are part of a new cluster of COVID-19 at the hospital, Chief of the Gunungsitoli City Communication and Information Service Onahia Telaumbanua stated here on Saturday.

Chief of the Gunungsitoli City Health Ofice Wilser confirmed that apart from the hospital, one of the doctors also works for the Kauko public health service post in Hilihao Village, while the other works for the Pratama Hospital in West Nias District, North Sumatra.

"Apart from the two women doctors, two outsourced medical workers, identified by their initials as SH and SMT, also contracted COVID-19 after undergoing swab tests," Telaumbanua remarked.

With the addition of four new cases, the number of residents of Gunungsitoli City testing positive for COVID-19 reached 54.
