"Today, there has been an increase of 4,173 positive cases," spokesperson for the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Wiku Adisasmito, said at a press briefing in Jakarta on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the number of recoveries has reached 84.5 percent with 382,084 cases, compared to the declining global recovery rate, which currently stands at 69.93 percent, he added.

The number of fatalities has reached 14,933, or 3.3 percent, which is higher than the 2.45 percent death rate recorded globally, he said.

Adisasmito urged citizens to observe the 56th National Health Day on November 12, 2020 by taking care of themselves, their families, and communities by continuing to maintain discipline in health protocol implementation in every activity.

He said the National Health Day must serve as an occasion to express gratitude to the Almighty for the gift of health. (INE)
