Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Social Affairs Ministry collaborated with State Logistics Agency (Bulog) and PT Pos Indonesia for phase II distribution of logistics aid, comprising 10 kilograms of rice per kin, to 8.8 million beneficiaries' families during PPKM.

The government had completed the phase I of distribution of logistics aid during the Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) to the 20 million beneficiary families under the program.

"We have distributed the first phase of PPKM logistics rice aid. For phase II, I think there will be no problem since we have experience and forged synergy while handling distribution in phase I," Secretary-General of the Ministry of Social Affairs Hartono Laras noted in his statement on Friday.

Laras stated that the PPKM logistics rice aid was distributed to 10 million beneficiaries of the the Family Hope Program (PKH), 10 million to beneficiaries of Social Cash Assistance (BST), and 8.8 million to the beneficiaries of the Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT).

In phase I, the PPKM rice aid was distributed to 20 million beneficiaries, comprising 10 million to the beneficiaries of PKH and 10 million to the beneficiaries of the BST program.

"The distribution of this logistics rice aid aimed to fulfill some of the basic needs of people impacted by the pandemic," Laras affirmed.

The Ministry of Social Affairs has submitted the beneficiaries' data based on the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) to the Ministry of Finance for the aid disbursal.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Social Affairs will improve coordination Bulog, PT Pos Indonesia, and local government to provide and distribute the logistic rice aid

"We have also activated the role of PKH assistants and Sub-District Social Welfare Workers (TKSK) to assist officers from Perum Bulog and from PT Pos to help the aid distribution process," he remarked.

With the help of facilitators, the Ministry of Social Affairs ensures that data changes from recipients will be rectified at the earliest.

The Ministry of Social Affairs lauds the role of all parties that have synergized in conducting the task of distributing aid, including the leadership of Bulog and its ranks, PT Pos Indonesia and its ranks, local governments, social assistants, and volunteers..
