We know that the pandemic must be handled quickly and in a consolidated manner by referencing to data, science, and technology
Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), in his state address, underscored that the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia had brought about a common realization that being healthy is a shared agenda for everyone.

"The pandemic has taught that health is a shared agenda. If (we) want to be healthy, other people must also be healthy," President Jokowi noted during his state address at the annual session of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) and a Joint Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) and the Regional Representatives Council (DPD) at the Parliamentary Complex, here, Monday.

Moreover, President Jokowi affirmed that the pandemic had bolstered social institutions in society and further strengthened social capital.

"If someone is infected with COVID-19, then others will be at risk of contracting it. Disease is a shared problem, and being healthy is a shared agenda," the head of state emphasized.

President Jokowi revealed that the state's institutional capacity in responding to the pandemic was also increasingly consolidated and more responsive.
