Jakarta (ANTARA) - The number of patients that made a recovery at the COVID-19 Emergency Hospital (RSDC) Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, Jakarta rose by 171 on Friday.

Head of Information for the Joint Regional Defense Command (Kogabwilhan) I Marine Colonel Aris Mudian remarked that a total of 122,718 patients were declared cured, or an increase of 171 people as compared to Thursday (August 19).

During the period from March 23, 2020, to August 20, 2021, at 8:00 local time, the Wisma Atlet RSDC recorded 125,655 people that had registered for treatment, with 124,308 patients discharged, he noted.

In addition to the total number of recovered patients, the discharged patients also comprised 998 patients referred to other hospitals and 592 patients that succumbed to the disease.

Mudian remarked that 1,347 patients were hospitalized comprising 640 male patients and 707 female patients.

"Four towers -- four, five, six, and seven -- accommodate inpatients," he noted.

In addition to the updated data of RSDC Wisma Atlet, Mudian also shared the latest data at the RSDC Nagrak and RSDC Pasar Rumput.

As of Friday, at 8:00 local time, RSDC Nagrak was recorded to have treated 14 patients comprising nine men and five women.

Meanwhile, 130 patients -- 64 men and 66 women -- were hospitalized at the RSDC Pasar Rumput, a decline of 12 patients from the previous recorded 142 people.

In addition, Mudian reported the latest data from the Special Hospital for Infection (RSKI) on Galang Island, Riau Islands.

As of April 12, 2020, until today, the number of registered patients at the Galang Island Hospital reached 15,510, with recovered patients totalling 8,034 and suspected patients completing the treatment reaching 7,297.

"The number of hospitalized patients reached 137 comprising 96 men and 41 women," he noted.

RSKI Galang Island also reported no deaths due to COVID-19 since operating for over a year.
