Jakarta (ANTARA) - The number of inpatients at the Kemayoran Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Emergency Hospital, Jakarta declined by 12 in the 24 hours ended Thursday, an official said.

On Thursday, at least 632 COVID-19 positive inpatients were admitted in tower Four, Five, Six, and Seven of the hospital compared to 644 the day before, head of information of the Joint Regional Military Command Marine Colonel Aris Mudian said.

"There is a decline of inpatients by 12 people," he added in a statement obtained here.

A total 127,355 patients were referred to Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Emergency Hospital between March 23, 2020 and September 9, 2021, he noted.

Of the total patients, 125,105 recovered, while 1,024 were referred to other hospitals, Mudian said.

Meanwhile, 594 patients died of COVID-19 at the hospital as of September 9, 2021, he informed.

Mudian then provided details on the situation at the Galang Islands Hospital for Infectious Disease, Batam, Riau Islands.

The hospital has recorded a total of 351 inpatients as of Thursday, he said.

"There are 351 inpatients, comprising 215 male and 136 female. All of them have been confirmed positive for COVID-19," he added.

In the 24 hours ended Thursday, the number of inpatients at the hospital declined by 19, he disclosed.

"On September 9, 2021, there are 351 inpatients. Initially (the day before), there were 370 inpatients," Mudian elaborated.

Between April 12, 2020 and September 9, 2021, the Galang Islands Hospital for Infectious Disease has treated a total of 16,125 patients. Of the patients, 8,434 recovered, 42 were referred to other hospitals, and the remaining 7,297 of suspected patients completed their treatment, he said.

As of September 9, 2021, Galang Islands Hospital for Infectious Disease has one death due to COVID-19, it was the first ever recorded death from the deadly virus in the hospital, he added.
