The PeduliLindungi app will be implemented on a gradual and massive scale in the six daily activities.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin confirmed that the ministry will gradually incorporate the PeduliLindungi app in various community activities, including trade and religious events.

"The screening and tracing functions of the PeduliLindungi app can facilitate us in implementing health protocols in our daily activities," he stated at the virtual launch of the PeduliLindungi Quick Response (QR) Code feature integration with various partners here on Thursday.

The app was started to be used in trading, both the modern one at shopping centers and the traditional one at local markets.

In addition, the app is used in the transportation, tourism, work, and educational sectors.

The health minister has also informed that the PeduliLindungi app has and will be used for religious activities, both for weekly rituals -- such as offering prayers at mosques and worship in churches -- as well as for major religious events -- for instance, celebrating Eid al-Fitr, Christmas, and traditional cremation ceremonies in Bali Province called "ngaben."

"The PeduliLindungi app will be implemented on a gradual and massive scale in the six daily activities," he remarked.

To broaden the use of the app, the ministry has collaborated with various digital platforms to integrate the PeduliLindungi QR Code feature with other apps.

Setiaji from the Chief Digital Transformation Office of the ministry has informed that 15 partners had integrated the feature to date, while another 35 partners are still in the process of gradually implementing the feature.

Regarding the utilization of the feature in other apps, Setiaji has ensured the users’ data security and guaranteed that the data will not be stored in partner apps.

"We will not store any personal data, comprising location. Moreover, the information regarding data protection is also stated in the terms and conditions provided by each digital partner platform," he remarked.
