This strategic collaboration aims to strengthen the foundation of Bali's tourism industry amid the pandemic
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy collaborates with one of the biggest ride-hailing entity operating in Bali to support the revival of economic and tourism activities within the island.

This step aims to reopen Bali as an international tourist destination that tourists from various countries are looking forward to.

"This strategic collaboration aims to strengthen the foundation of Bali's tourism industry amid the pandemic," the ministry's Marketing Deputy, Nia Niscaya, noted in her statement as quoted on Wednesday.

"Synergy and initiative that involve various aspects of this tourism service is expected to be able to bolster the growth of Bali's tourism and creative micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs)," she remarked.

The existence of this strategic cooperation will ensure that mobilization of tourists aligned with the implementation of health protocols.

Implementation of health protocols became the main priority in holding tourism activities in Bali that has just started to recover after being battered by COVID-19 for the last two years.

This cooperation will also ensure recovery and development of the sustainable tourism destination that aligns with the CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, Environment Sustainability) standard.

The Bali regional government welcomes the initiative and has lauded the collaboration with private enterprises to recover the island's economy that is highly dependent on tourism.

"Reopening of Bali as Indonesia's main tourism destination will drive local economic recovery," Head of Bali's Tourism Service I Putu Astawa stated.

Apart from ensuring transportation service that adheres to health protocols, the ride-hailing entity will also provide training for its partner to provide the best services for both local and international tourists.

Atawa deemed this to be immensely beneficial, and it would bode well for the development of human resources in Bali that would result in a better workforce for the island.
