Deep Knowledge Analytics (DKA), an institution that is part of a non-profit and commercial international consortium, has placed Jakarta 47th out of 50 cities globally in terms of COVID-19 handling, with a total score of 51.43, based on the results of a study.
In an analysis titled 'COVID-19 City Safety Ranking' in the second quarter of 2021, DKA said the data for the study was obtained until September 2021.
The benchmarks for analyzing the COVID-19 responses of cities were vaccinations, economy, prevention, governance, and security, it informed.
Jakarta scored 11.05 in terms of economic resilience, 10.61 in government efficiency, 9.17 in health management, 12.81 in quarantine efficiency, and 7.78 in vaccinations, it said.

The central government had earlier lowered the public activity restrictions (PPKM) status of Jakarta from Level 2 to Level 1, based on an Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Number 57 of 2021).
The decision was based on indicators for adjusting public health efforts and social restrictions for tackling the COVID-19 pandemic.
Another indicator was the vaccination achievement in the city: at least 70 percent for the first dose and 60 percent for the elderly.
