Jakarta (ANTARA) - Nine patients were discharged from the Kemayoran Athlete's Village COVID-19 Emergency Hospital, Jakarta, on Saturday, an official said.

"Inpatients who were confirmed positive (for COVID-19) in Towers 4, 5, 6, and 7 were 199 people, while the original number (a day earlier) was 208 people. There was a decline by nine inpatients," head of information for the Joint Defense Area Command, Marine Colonel Aris Mudian, said here on Saturday.

At least 129,233 patients were referred to the emergency hospital from March 23, 2020 to November 27, 2021, he informed.

As many as 127,394 of the patients recovered and were discharged from the hospital, 1,044 patients were referred to other hospitals, while 596 inpatients succumbed to the disease as of November 27, 2021, he said.

Mudian also provided details on the situation at Galang Island Special Hospital for Infection, Batam, Riau Islands.

There were 66 inpatients in the hospital as of Saturday, he said.

"There are 66 inpatients, including 34 men and 32 women. A total of 66 patients were all confirmed positive for COVID-19," he said in a written statement.

He also noted that the number of inpatients at the Galang Island Hospital decreased by four people in the 24 hours ended Saturday.

"As of November 27, there were 66 hospitalized patients, originally (a day earlier, there were) 70 people," he added.

From April 12, 2020 to November 27, 2021, the Galang Island Hospital treated 17,412 patients, he said. Of that number, 17,345 patients were discharged from the hospital, Mudian added.

Galang Island Hospital reported one death due to COVID-19 as of November 27, 2021, he informed.
