It will also (functions as) a showcase for 'Making Indonesia 4.0' for the world in terms of digitalization
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Center for Indonesian Digital Industry 4.0 (PIDI 4.0) will offer a one-stop solution for accelerating the transformation to Industry 4.0 in Indonesia, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto has said.

"It will also (functions as) a showcase for 'Making Indonesia 4.0' for the world in terms of digitalization," Hartarto remarked in a statement received here on Thursday.

The construction of PIDI 4.0 is proof of Indonesia's efforts towards the transformation to Industry 4.0 by paying attention to the increase in added value and capacity in the global value chain, he said.

PIDI 4.0 is expected to play an important role in supporting Indonesia's G20 Presidency that rests on three pillars, which are global health, digital transformation, and sustainable energy transition, the minister added.

Indonesia has also invited the G20 Sherpas and Sous Sherpas to visit PIDI 4.0 at the G20 First Sherpa Meeting on Wednesday, he informed.

The Sherpas and Sous Sherpas were welcomed by the Ministry of Industry's Industrial Human Resources Development Agency head, Arus Gunawan. Then, the delegates signed the G20 digital signboard and joined the digital industry and green industry tour booth, he added.

PIDI 4.0 is a government agency that is part of the Agency of Industrial Human Resources Development (BPSDMI) and is expected to support the Indonesian industrial sector in upgrading to Industry 4.0.

Displaying digital innovations to G20 delegates is expected to attract other countries to invest in Indonesia, Hartarto added.

PIDI 4.0 offers five main services which are Showcase Center, Delivery Center, Capability Center, Ecosystem for Industry 4.0, and Engineering and AI Center.

Meanwhile, Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, who attended the launch virtually, said that the five services can potentially expedite industrial transformation in Indonesia.
