Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Communication and Informatics has made assurance that 5G services for the G20 Presidency in Indonesia will be optimized in order to support the events maximally.

"We have made preparations for providing the 5G experience for the G20 event. We are striving to ensure that all G20 venues in dozens of cities that have been selected are able to experience 5G services," Director General of Information and Public Communication of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics Usman Kansong said  here on Friday.

In terms of infrastructure, the ministry's Telecommunication and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI) will be tasked with ensuring no problems with the physical infrastructure in providing communication services ranging from the Base Transceiver Station (BTS) to fiber optic networks that will be prepared optimally.

Apart from BAKTI, the ministry will also collaborate with mobile network operators in Indonesia that have provided 5G services to make the Indonesian Presidency at the G20 event a success.
