"I believe that through public discussion, the formulation of DIM for the RUU TPKS will answer all issues related to sexual violence," he noted in a press release here on Friday.
Moeldoko urged all parties to partake in monitoring the RUU TPKS, so that it could be ratified as a law that provides justice for victims of sexual violence.
Based on the information from KSP, currently, the special task force formed to accelerate the ratification of the RUU TPKS has formulated 623 DIM as a response to the stipulation of the RUU TPKS as an initiative bill of the House of Representatives (DPR).
Head of the RUU TPKS Task Force Team, Eddy O.S. Hiariej, stated that there were several new substances in the DIM of the RUU TPKS.

"There are many new substances in the DIM. Of course, the DIM formulated by the government still needs several inputs from the civil society and academia," he remarked.
Earlier, the task force had consigned the DIM discussion as a follow-up to the stipulation of the RUU TPKS as a DPR initiative bill.
To streamline the substance of the DIM, which will be an attachment to the President's Letter to the DPR, the Presidential Staff Office, along with the RUU TPKS Task Force Team, held a public discussion involving members of the civil society and academia.
Hiariej, concurrently serving as the deputy minister of law and human rights, explained that the DIM of the RUU TPKS formulated by the government covers matters, such as the criminal procedural law and the handling and rehabilitation of victims.
"The superiority of the DIM of the RUU TPKS lies in the procedural law, which is very progressive and advanced. This is because earlier, out of the thousands of cases handled by the police and prosecutors, only less than five percent of the cases were resolved. That means there was a problem with the procedural law. Now, this is what has been fixed," he expounded.
