We are able to serve 80 types of public service affairs in one platform, and that is thanks to the collaboration of young peopleJakarta (ANTARA) - More than 24 million people are accessing free Wi-Fi at 9,250 points in Jakarta amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan stated.
"In Jakarta, everyone can access free Wi-Fi across more than 9,250 access points," Baswedan noted at the Urban 20 Talks event monitored here on Thursday.
According to the governor, internet connection is provided to support students during remote learning and people who are working from home due to the restrictions on public activities in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Baswedan explained that the provision of internet access is also aimed at supporting the Jakarta Kini (JaKi) digital application platform developed by the Jakarta provincial government.
JaKi is a digital application used to monitor developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic, ranging from the distribution of cases, tracking, and vaccination to preventive efforts all included in one application.

The governor noted that apart from accessibility, the JaKi digital platform should also fulfill three criteria, with the first being the integration of health services. The second criterion is inclusive, for instance, the recording of COVID-19 cases, vaccination registration, and the synchronization with the PeduliLindungi application.
The next criterion is collaborative, which means the JaKi platform offers people the opportunity to contribute to helping social activities.
