Central Lombok, W Nusa Tenggar (ANTARA) - The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) echoed the readiness of the National Police (Polri) to secure the Mandalika MotoGP event after conducting evaluation and checks at the Mandalika Circuit.

The 2022 Mandalika MotoGP will be held on March 18-20, 2022, at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, Central Lombok District, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province.

"Polri is ready to secure the event," Kompolnas team leader Pudji Hartanto Iskandar stated during a working visit to the Mandalika Circuit as quoted from a written statement on Saturday.

For the implementation of security at the Mandalika MotoGP, Kompolnas conducted a survey to check the readiness of the security system and plan, so that the activity can run safely and smoothly.

"The security system has been prepared. Inshallah (if God wills), it (the event) will be safe. Of course, it cannot be separated from the synergy with other stakeholders," he affirmed.

Iskandar believes that the Mandalika MotoGP event will have positive impacts on the growth of Indonesia's tourism, people's economy, and the country's name. To this end, he expressed optimism that various problems that could hinder the event would be resolved appropriately and systematically.

He stressed that all ranks of Polri must be heedful to all problems that might arise, so that the MotoGP event can run smoothly, and visitors can enjoy their stay in Indonesia, especially in West Nusa Tenggara where the event takes place.

Another aspect that should be followed up is the availability of hotel accommodation and transportation that necessitates joint attention, the Kompolnas team leader stated.

"All obstacles must be handled properly. Prevent disturbances from occurring around here, whether it is related to land issues or others," he stressed.
