Acting head of BNPB’s Disaster Data, Information, and Communication Center, Abdul Muhari, in a statement issued here on Wednesday, said that two residents have also been reported missing, based on the report of the Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) of Serang city.
"Aside from that, there are 2,413 families who are staying in houses affected by the flood, with the water level reaching 50-200 centimeters," he informed.
Areas that have remained inundated included Lontar Baru village, Kagungan village, and Kota Baru village in Serang subdistrict, he noted citing data from the Serang City BPBD, he said.
Kasemen village, Terumbu village, and Kasunyatan village in Kasemen subdistrict; Drangong village and Umbul Tengah village in Taktakan subdistrict; Cipocok village, Banjar Agung village, Panancangan village, Banjar Sari village, Tembong village in Cipocok Jaya subdistrict have also remained affected, he added.
"Based on the monitoring conducted by the Serang City BPBD team, the current flood conditions still persist, but the water level in Lontar Baru village and Serang village has begun to decrease," he said.

He affirmed that as part of efforts to accelerate flood handling, the Serang City BPBD team, in collaboration with related agencies and volunteers, is continuing to rescue and evacuate residents and trying to meet their basic needs.
The basic items that residents urgently require include ready-to-eat food, clothing for adults and children, blankets, medicines and first aid kits, toiletries, baby diapers, and menstrual pads, he said.
Meanwhile, the Health Office of Serang City, Banten, has prepared 16 community health centers (puskesmas) and health service posts at flood locations to provide health services to flood-affected residents.
"For flood victims who are sick, please visit the health post or local community health center. There are 16 community health centers that are ready to serve, plus posts near the flood locations," head of the Serang City Health Office, A. Hasanudin, said in Serang city, Banten province, on Wednesday.
He said that apart from the community health centers, his office has also prepared several health posts in flooded areas, such as those near the Magersari, Kaujon, Lopang Cilik, Kasemen detention centers, and deployed several health workers.
