Don't, any of us, feel superior than the others, feel better than the others, and feel cleaner than the others. We are different from the others, but it does not mean that we feel superior than the others.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has said that the commemoration of Nuzulul Quran (the Descent of the Quran) has offered a momentum to strengthen togetherness amid diversity in Indonesia.

"I call on Muslims to make the commemoration of Nuzulul Quran a momentum to strengthen togetherness in diversity, which is badly needed to realize baldatun toyyibatun warobbun ghofur (a safe, peaceful, just, and spiritually and physically prosperous country blessed by Allah SWT)," he remarked while delivering a virtual address at the commemoration of Nuzulul Quran, which was streamed on the Youtube channel of the Presidential Secretariat on Tuesday.

The President said that the commemoration of Nuzulul Quran is one of the specialties of the holy month of Ramadhan so that Muslims can memorize the descent of the Holy Quran, which was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) as guidance for human life.

"The Holy Quran is a miracle from Allah SWT. There is no doubt in it. The Holy Quran is guidance and makes a distinction between rights and vanity. It is a reminder, blessing, enlightener, good news, and healer of sorrow and pain,” he added.

As the nation believes in God, Muslims are required to believe in God Almighty, he said.

In addition, the consequence of the belief in God Almighty is that people must accept diversity wholeheartedly, which is Allah SWT's will.

"The Holy Quran mentions that diversity that happens to a variety of God's creatures is basically sunnatullah, the unchanged way of Allah SWT, the scenario of Allah SWT," Widodo said.

The President further stressed the importance of conserving, maintaining, and managing the diversity bestowed by Allah SWT.

"Don't, any of us, feel superior than the others, feel better than the others, and feel cleaner than the others. We are different from the others, but it does not mean that we feel superior than the others,” he remarked.
