"We hope that people looking to have professional competency in the field of technology can join and complete the training to acquire skills and national and global certification that will be useful in the world of work," Head of Research and Development of the Human Resources Agency at the Ministry of Communication and Informatics Hary Budiarto said in a press release on Wednesday.
The ministry has cooperated with Google to ready certification for five thousand participants of the 2022 Digital Talent Scholarship in the Professional Academy and Fresh Graduate Academy programs.

Of the five thousand participants, three thousand participants are from the Fresh Graduate Academy Program and two thousand participants are from the Professional Academy Program.
The Fresh Graduate Academy Program is open to college graduates, who have not worked or are currently unemployed, to help them develop competence in the digital field. Meanwhile, through the Professional Academy, the ministry provides opportunities for professionals keen to enhance their skills and have the opportunity to receive a global certification.
This partnership with Google is part of the ministry's efforts to produce 600 thousand digital talents annually through the Digital Talent Scholarship Program until 2024.

According to research from McKinsey and the World Bank, Indonesia needs at least nine million digital talents between 2015 and 2030. The figure is equal to 600 thousand talents per year.
Digital Talent Scholarship is an annual program that the Ministry of Communication and Informatics has offered for the past few years that aims to fulfill the needs of digital talents at the intermediate level.
This year, seven academies offered in the program are the Vocational School Graduate Academy, Government Transformation Academy, Digital Entrepreneurship Academy, Professional Academy, Thematic Academy, Fresh Graduate Academy, and Talent Scouting.
