"Pancasila must be implemented as a life guidance and as a formidable foundation of the Indonesian nation's diversity and tolerance," Laoly stated during the commemoration of the Birth of Pancasila on Wednesday.
The minister then reminded ministry officials to enhance their synergy, mutual cooperation, and tolerance in their social life.
"A state civil apparatus must play its role to bind the nation within the framework of Unity in Diversity, with Pancasila as the foundation. Pancasila is the lodestar of our great Indonesia," he remarked.
Laoly attended the ceremony to commemorate the Birth of Pancasila, centered this year in Ende, East Nusa Tenggara, through virtual means.
In his remarks during the ceremony to commemorate the Birth of Pancasila in Ende on Wednesday, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) reminded the Indonesian nation to implement Pancasila values in their daily activities.
The president said that Pancasila not only aims to unite the Indonesian nation but also to be a guiding star to face national challenges.
"This has been proven many times in our history that our nation can stand as a mighty country because we have agreed to set Pancasila as our foundation," Jokowi stated.
According to Jokowi, every member of the Indonesian nation must commit to implementing Pancasila and defend its five core tenets that can be realized in the social and national systems.
"Let us (implement Pancasila) in our government administration and our social interaction," he remarked.
President Jokowi has served as inspector for the Birth of Pancasila commemoration ceremony in Ende. During the ceremony, Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR RI) Bambang Soesatyo recited the Pancasila, while Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) Lodewijk Freidrich Paulus recited the preamble of the 1945 Constitution.
