The first export of Indonesian-made completely built-up (CBU) cars to Australia has been held in February 2022, and I expect that the export activities will continue to be conducted (in future),Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, at a meeting at the Bogor Presidential Palace, Bogor District, West Java Province, on Monday, focused their discussions on various bilateral economic cooperation issues.
Jokowi conveyed the statement during a joint press conference with Albanese as monitored online here on Monday.
The president highlighted the importance of expanding the export market of Indonesian products with high added value, such as automotive products, to Australia.
"The first export of Indonesian-made completely built-up (CBU) cars to Australia has been held in February 2022, and I expect that the export activities will continue to be conducted (in future)," he stated.

Furthermore, he expressed optimism that implementation of the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA), especially regarding the opportunities for Indonesian citizens to work in Australia, would be improved by increasing the working holiday visa quota to five thousand participants per year.
In addition, Jokowi stated that his side welcomed cooperation in the education and health sectors.
He expected that inauguration of the Monash University Campus in Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) City, Tangerang District, Banten Province, would increase investment from Australian investors in the development of highly skilled human resources in Indonesia.
"I also laud (Australian-based health service company) Aspen Medical's investment worth US$1 billion (Rp14.5 trillion) to build 23 hospitals and 650 clinics in West Java Province over (the next) 20 years," he affirmed.

Furthermore, the two government heads discussed matters pertaining to food security and sustainability of the food supply chain, including the supply of wheat, in the midst of the current challenging global situation.
The Indonesian president also stated that he welcomed the prime minister’s initiative to strengthen the Indonesia-Australia infrastructure and climate resilience partnership.
The Australian government will provide an initial grant worth AU$200 million (Rp2.1 trillion) to bolster the partnership.
In addition, two Australian enterprises will invest in Indonesia: the Fortescue Metals Group that will invest US$10 billion (Rp145.03 trillion) in the hydropower and geothermal sectors as well as Sun Cable, with an investment worth US$1.5 billion (Rp21.75 trillion) in the energy sector.
