The Golkar Party, National Mandate Party (PAN), and United Development Party (PPP) declared a surprise alliance, the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB), to the public in June.
"We will still have discussions regarding the future vision and mission. Hence, we will still discuss it," Hartarto told reporters at the Jakarta Presidential Palace complex, Monday.
He said KIB is inclusive, so it is open to other parties keen to join and is not limited to parliamentary parties but also to non-parliamentary parties.
According to Hartarto, the KIB parties are still communicating with other parties.
Earlier, Hartarto, who was concurrently the coordinating minister for economic affairs, said that the KIB had short- and long-term targets to provide inputs related to government development programs.
In the short term, the KIB will discuss ongoing development programs and ways to continue the national strategic program in the future, while in the long term, the KIB will discuss Indonesia's challenges to escape the middle-income trap.
