The vehicles used will also be eco-friendly and not produce emissions, Leader of the Smart Transportation System Master Plan Development Team at IKN Resdiansyah said in a press statement on Friday.
Electric buses and bikes are used as means of urban transportation. In addition, electric vehicles are designed with an automatic driving system that does not require drivers.
The length of travel had also been determined, which is at most 10 minutes from the terminal to important city facilities.

As for traffic regulation, whether at intersections, parking lot, and everywhere else that requires surveillance, monitoring will be conducted through digital and electronic equipment, including CCTV cameras and computer calculation application.
These are also used to handle traffic violation and accidents.
Within the system that had been implemented in several countries, violators of speed limits or road signs can be monitored with cameras and can immediately be identified or recognized by the system.
These violators can then immediately be fined and speeding tickets be delivered to them in accordance with applicable laws. The fine can be paid through direct transfer to the state's account.

According to Resdiansyah, the smart traffic control system is planned to become the first intelligent transportation system (ITS) technology developed in Nusantara.
Specifically, it is being developed in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP), an area where the presidential palace, ministry offices, high institution offices, and the military as well as police headquarters are located.
Through this opportunity, Nusantara Capital City (IKN) Authority Head Bambang Susantono expects the smart transportation system to be capable of responding to the challenges in Nusantara in future to ensure a better quality of life.
He also expects that the system can be implemented in other cities in Indonesia.
