"We (will) evaluate the problem (to find out) whether it is something systemic or indeed an accident," Kamil stated after the closing of G20's Urban 20 (U20) event at the Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday.
On the occasion, Kamil spoke of having urged the police to conduct an investigation related to the cause of the accident.
"We appeal to the police to (figure out) the cause of the accident," he remarked.
The governor also called on large companies to ensure the safety or worthiness of large-sized vehicles.
"Please be heedful of vehicle worthiness when it comes out of the factory (and) out of the company's office because when it is on the road, it 'interacts' (has impacts) on the wider community," he stressed.
Kamil expressed deep condolences to the victims' families.
He also urged Acting Mayor of Bekasi Tri Adhianto to visit the bereaved families.
"In my spare time, I will try to visit the families, who have been left as well," he said.
