As quoted from the Presidential Secretariat Press Bureau received here, after greeting the children, the First Lady -- accompanied by Wury Ma'ruf Amin -- asked them to identify the names of animals and fruits through a picture guessing game.
"What's this picture?" Iriana asked while holding a board with a picture of a pineapple, to which the resounding answer, "Pineapple," was given by the children.
"Everyone is smart," she remarked while lauding the children, who answered the questions correctly.
Some members of the Solidarity Action Organization for the Onwards Indonesia Cabinet Era (OASE KIM) were also present, taking turns to show the names of animals and fruits through the guessing game.
The First Lady and her entourage then handed out gifts to the children present there as a mark of appreciation and gratitude.
Iriana and the OASE KIM staff also distributed several aids to recipients in Jambi, such as packages of children's books, hand washing sinks, anthropometric scales kits, thematic trash bins, and plant seeds.
The First Lady and her entourage also educated kindergarteners on sorting trash and washing hands with soap.
Head of Division II OASE KIM, Kartika Basuki Hadimuljono, expected that the initiative would educate children to wash their hands with soap, so they could be healthier.
"Hence, the main goal is to train children to wash their hands right and properly with soap, so that they can (inform) their younger siblings, their parents, and so, the next generation will be healthier,” she remarked.
The First Lady's entourage and OASE KIM are scheduled to continue some activities at the Jambi Governor’s Office House, such as planting trees and reviewing the dissemination of information on breast self-examination (BSE) in commemoration of Breast Cancer Month.
They will also open and attend the 2022 Tenun Weaving Entrepreneurial Skills Program (PKW) and its following exhibitions.
The First Lady will also visit the Jambi Class II B Women's Correctional Institution to review the activities and work of inmates, as conclusion of the Jambi work visit.
