Today, the questioning of witnesses for the suspect LE in the bribery and gratification case related to a provincial budget-funded project is taking place at the KPK Building.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Monday questioned seven witnesses in connection with the alleged bribery and gratification case against the Papua governor.

“Today, the questioning of witnesses for the suspect LE in the bribery and gratification case related to a provincial budget-funded project is taking place at the KPK Red and White Building," KPK spokesperson Ali Fikri informed here on Monday.

The seven witnesses were Gibbrael Isaak, Ng Hok Lam, Daniel Christian Lewi, Muhammad Chusnul Khuluqi, Tika Putri Ardiani, Teuku Hamzah Husen, and Doren Wakerwa.



Isaak, the president director of PT RDG Airlines, was supposed to undergo questioning on October 4, 2022, but after he failed to show up, the KPK rescheduled his questioning for Monday.



The anti-graft body has named LE and several other people as suspects in the case.



On September 12, the KPK investigating team summoned the Papua governor as a witness for questioning at the National Police's Mobile Brigade (Brimob) Command Station in Papua. But he did not show up.

Then, KPK summoned him for questioning as a suspect in the case on September 26. However, he once again did not show up, citing ill health. He later applied for permission to get medical treatment in Singapore.



On November 3, a KPK team met LE at his residence in Jayapura, Papua, as part of the investigation into the case. In addition, a team of doctors from the KPK and Indonesian Medical Association (ID) also met LE to check his health.



KPK seized several documents as evidence, including electronic evidence, financial notes, cash, and gold ingots during a search of his home and apartment.
