Kaimana, West Papua (ANTARA) - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and Second Lady Wury Ma'ruf Amin took out time to watch the sunset at a beach during a working visit to Kaimana district, West Papua province, on Wednesday.

The Vice President and his entourage arrived at Utarom Kaimana Airport, West Papua, from Mozes Kilangin International Airport, Timika, Mimika district, Central Papua, in the afternoon.

They stopped at Jokowi Iriana Beach at dusk, around 5:30 p.m. local time, when the sky was sparsely covered in clouds.

As they made their way to Jokowi Iriana Beach, the Vice President and his entourage were welcomed enthusiastically by Kaimana residents.

After breaking their fast, the Vice President and his entourage headed to the place where they were scheduled to spend the night.

Kaimana district head Freddy Thie and his wife, Ernawati Thie, also joined the Vice President's entourage.

On Thursday, Amin is scheduled to carry out various work agendas in Kaimana, including receiving acting West Papua Governor Paulus Waterpauw and members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of West Papua province, as well as observing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) at the Jokowi Iriana City Park.

After West Papua province, Amin and his entourage will visit Biak Numfor district, Papua province.
