Through the marriage ceremony procession that began at 1 p.m. local time, Gudono's brother, Allen Adam Rinaldy Gudono, who became the bride's family guardian (wali nasab), agreed to have his sister marry the president's son.
Pangarep, who wore a white Javanese suit, complete with a Yogyakarta blangkon (Javanese headgear), accepted the marriage by pronouncing the ijab kabul (Islamic marriage contract) smoothly without repetition.
As the dowry, Kaesang gave a set of prayer tools, Rp300 thousand, and four noble metals weighing 10,12, 20, and 22 grams.
Meanwhile, Gudono, who was wearing a white kebaya, responded with a smile.
"Mr. Kaesang Pangarep and Ms. Erina Sofia Gudono, today, Saturday, December 10, 2022, I officially declare you as husband and wife," a wedding officiant from the Depok Religious Affairs Office, Sleman, Yogyakarta Mohammad Mashudi, stated.
On the occasion, President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo wore cream-colored Yogyakarta traditional clothing suits.
Furthermore, State Secretary Minister Pratikno became the witness on the bride's side, while Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono was the witness on the groom's side.
After the marriage contract ceremony, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin delivered a marriage sermon and prayers to the newly wedded couple.
Some officials who witnessed the sacred moment were Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of Investment Bahlil Lahadalia, State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) Minister Erick Thohir, Yogyakarta Governor Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X and his wife, among several others.
Earlier, a horse-drawn carriage drove Gudono to the wedding venue, while Pangarep was accompanied by President Jokowi, Iriana, and his family to walk from the hotel lobby to the venue.
Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, as spokesperson representing the kin to Gudono's family representatives, presented the groom, who arrived first at the venue.
