Jakarta (ANTARA) - Some 7,306 personnel of the National Armed Forces (TNI) and National Police (Polri) participated in the integrated education and training for the fiscal year 2022, with the objective of strengthening synergy between the two institutions.

"The main purpose and objective of this training are to strengthen the solidity and synergy of all TNI soldiers and Polri personnel since the education period, so that togetherness, cohesion, and moral ties are formed," Deputy Chief of the Central Kalimantan Police Inspector General Ida Oetari Poernamasasi remarked here on Monday.

The integrated training, which was officially opened at the Sepolwan Lemdiklat Polri Field, South Jakarta, Monday, was specifically provided for women upper non-commissioned officers (Bintara), Women's Army Corps (Kowad), Women's Naval Service Corps (Kowal) ,and Women's Air Force Corps (Wara).

At least 7,306 personnel, comprising 4,346 policemen and 503 policewomen, participated in the integration training.

Meanwhile, from the TNI side, there were 1,452 men and 170 women personnel of the Indonesian Army, 765 men and 50 women navy personnel, and 20 women Air Force personnel.

"It is the second time for this integration training of TNI-Polri non-commissioned officers to be carried out simultaneously," Poernamasasi noted.

The training's participants gained knowledge about introduction to the TNI-Polri doctrine, introduction to the TNI dimension (matra) and Polri's main tasks, forms of TNI assistance to Polri, and collaboration in duties and building TNI-Polri solidity.

The training will come to end on December 16, 2022.

According to Poernamasasi, the synergy between TNI and Polri means working functionally in one system of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) by supporting and strengthening each other and not working alone in ensuring the realization of national development and the ideals of national independence.

"One of the pillars of NKRI is the TNI-Polri, so, in this educational institution, synergy and ideals of building Indonesia are integrated, with the goal being to build togetherness, solidity, and cooperation," she explained.
