Jakarta (ANTARA) - Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas has asked the National Civil Service Commission (KASN) to collaborate with other institutions to realize bureaucratic reform.

The Indonesian Civil Service Commission is requested to collaborate with the Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry, the State Administrative Agency (LAN), the National Civil Service Agency (BKN), and the Home Affairs Ministry, he said.

"This is the first thing. I think it can be pursued later, beginning from the index and others," he said while speaking at the “Reflection on National Civil Service Commission's 9 Years and 2023 Resolution” event on Monday.

The collaboration is one of the resolutions formulated by Anas for the commission for 2023 as a partner of the ministry in realizing bureaucratic reform in the country.

The minister listed six other resolutions, the first one being that the commission will consistently pursue efforts to implement an electronic-based government system.

Second, the commission has been tasked with maintaining synergy with the Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry, the Home Affairs Ministry, LAN, and BKN.

“The National Civil Service Commission can also provide inputs regarding the implementation of the merit system to the Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry, BKN, and LAN," the minister added.

The fourth resolution is for the commission to anticipate changes in the implementation of open selection in the future.

The fifth resolution is for the commission to take part in overseeing the implementation of AKHLAK values, which seek to build a service-oriented, accountable, competent, harmonious, loyal, adaptive, and collaborative work culture in all government agencies.

And the last resolution is for the commission to anticipate political interventions or violations of neutrality during the general elections.

“Hopefully, (the six resolutions) can be pursued together later," the minister noted.
