So we support ‘Semesta Bergoyang'
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, has expressed support for dangdut music concert “Semesta Bergoyang,” describing it as an effort to revive the economy and create jobs for the community.

The concert could be the right platform for promoting tourism destinations and the creative economy with the help of animations on the music stage and the presence of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) that will market their products at the venue, he said.

"So we support ‘Semesta Bergoyang,’” said Uno in an official statement received in Jakarta on Tuesday.

The concert is targeting to attract 15 thousand visitors and 100 thousand viewers since the event will be broadcast live online, he informed.

The concert, which will be held on February 25, 2023, will feature Indonesia's leading cross-genre musicians.

"This is the form of transformation where dangdut music is now being the host in our own country", Uno said.

Meanwhile, one of the musicians who will perform at the concert, Ndarboy Genk, said he hopes that the concert will become a momentum for the revival of MSMEs participating in it.

"While waiting for artists to appear, visitors can walk around the booths first, then have some snacks,” Genk remarked.

The concert will feature dangdut music, including a collaboration between Kaka Slank and Ndarboy Genk, musicians such as Heppy Asmara, Yeni Inka, Joni Iskandar, and music group Project Pop.
