Head of the Mount Anak Krakatau Monitoring Post in Hargopancuran Village, Rajabasa Sub-district, South Lampung District, Lampung Province, Andi Suardi, stated on Monday that the eruptions were still ongoing until morning.
The PVMBG noted that the eruption took place on Monday at 00:41 am Western Indonesia Standard Time (WIB) and 4:42 am WIB, but the height of the eruption columns could not be observed during those times.
Furthermore, the volcano spewed a thick grey ash column towards the east, with a height of about 300 meters above the peak at 6:07 am WIB.
This eruption was recorded by the seismograph, with a maximum amplitude of 50 millimeters (mm) and a duration of 80 seconds.

Mount Anak Krakatau erupted again with another thick grey ash column at 7:01 am WIB, whose height reached about 300 m towards the east. It had a maximum amplitude of 50 mm and a duration of 27.5 seconds.
At 7:59 am WIB, the volcano also ejected a thick grey to dark grey ash column towards the southeast, with a height of about 500 meters. The eruption was recorded with a maximum amplitude of 60 mm and a duration of 143 seconds.
The next eruption occurred at 8:08 am WIB, with an about 300 meters-thick grey to black ash column towards the southeast. It was recorded by a seismograph, with a maximum amplitude of 53 mm and a duration of 121 seconds.
Mount Anak Krakatau, whose current status is Alert or at Level III, had erupted again at 9:28 am WIB, with a thick grey eruption column, whose height was about 300 meters towards the southeast. The eruption had a maximum amplitude of 53 mm and a duration of 38 seconds.
The PVMBG urges the public, tourists, and hikers to not conduct any activities within a five-kilometer radius from the volcano’s active crater.
