The average number of passengers at Lombok Airport is currently 5 thousand passengers per day, both departing and arriving
Praya, Central Lombok (ANTARA) - PT Angkasa Pura I, which operates Lombok Airport, West Nusa Tenggara, informed that the number of passengers increased by 18 percent on the Chinese New Year holiday compared to the previous day.

"The number of passengers on the Chinese New Year holiday reached 6,379 passengers, and it was at 5,393 passengers," public relations official for PT Angkasa Pura I at Lombok Airport, Arif Haryanto, informed in Praya, West Nusa Tenggara, on Monday.

He said that the number of passengers on the Chinese New Year holiday also registered an increase compared to last year's holiday, when the figure stood at 4,123. The increase in passengers was attributed to collective leave.

"The average number of passengers at Lombok Airport is currently 5 thousand passengers per day, both departing and arriving," he added.

According to the Lombok International Airport, passengers are still required to get the third vaccine dose in order to board planes, despite the lifting of the community activities restrictions policy by the government some time ago.

"Until today, there has been no latest provision from the regulator (Transportation Ministry), so booster vaccines or three doses are still a requirement for air travel at Lombok Airport," Haryanto said.

Current air travel regulations are still based on the Transportation Ministry's Circular No. 82 of 2022 about guidelines for domestic travel during the COVID-19 pandemic, which took effect on August 29, 2022, he added.

"Domestic travelers who get the second or first dose of vaccine cannot fly on the plane," he said.

The regulation requires domestic flyers aged 18 years and above to have taken the booster vaccine and those in the 6–17 age group to have received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

"Domestic travelers who get the third dose of the vaccination (booster) are not required to show negative results on the RT-PCR test or antigen rapid test," he said.

Moreover, international travelers are required to have received the second dose if they are aged 18 and above, and are exempt from the vaccine obligation if they are in the 6–17 age group.

"Travelers who get the third dose of the vaccination are not required to show negative results on the RT-PCR test or antigen rapid test," Haryanto added.
