Cooperation between the ministry and the agency is materialized through the establishment of the Computer Security Incident Response Team (Kemenag-CSIRT).
"The team that we are about to launch will have a crucial role," Religious Affairs Minister Yaqut Cholil Qoumas noted in a statement received in Jakarta, Tuesday.
The minister remarked that digital transformation is among the ministry's priority programs while adding that the program is being implemented in the hopes of providing ease to the public in accessing the ministry's services and benefiting from them.
With regard to digital transformation, he said, the ministry had developed an application called Pusaka SuperApps. The application would serve as a platform to improve accessibility of the ministry's services and facilitate people to have a better experience with the services.
The Pusaka SuperApps already incorporates varied services, including services of the religious affairs office (KUA), education, and Hajj.
However, in terms of security, Qoumas admitted that the application still needed to be tweaked further while highlighting that the ministry's information system had been receiving around 300 thousand threats of information security incidents on a daily basis.
"Hopefully, this cooperation as well as this team will help us better secure our information," he affirmed.
In order to secure the data, the ministry seeks to strengthen efforts to prevent cyberattacks. In addition to security matters, Qoumas urged his ranks to work in close coordination with the BSSN regarding system integration.
"I ask you to coordinate to find a way to integrate various applications in the ministry into a single platform in Pusaka SuperApps," Qoumas told his ranks.
