"From now on, there should be no longer (public service) application (created) per innovation, now it is about how to create interoperability between the existing applications," Anas said at the Bali Digifest II 2023 here on Friday.
It is expected that Bali will have just one public service portal, which would make it easier for the community as all services would be found on one portal, he added.
Anas said the single portal policy has been implemented by his ministry through the digital Public Service Mall (MPP), with 21 districts/cities becoming pioneers in the digitization process.
According to him, it is not wrong if Bali focuses on tourism and investment, but it is important to carry out public services with good governance and based on digitalization.
"I believe Bali can do it because it has an international identity; almost all diplomats and digital experts I met have ever gathered in Bali. If Bali wants to start this, our team is ready to assist," Anas said.
A good number of people understand how to use digital apps, but the excessive number of public service applications would make people confused in the end, he added.
"Before the implementation of Digital MPP, the public must fill their data in repeatedly, then they no longer need to do it. People are tired of filling in data," he highlighted.
Furthermore, he said he expects Bali to participate in Digital MPP development and become a pilot for other provinces.
The impact of digital-based government, he said, includes cost savings, wider public engagement, increased accountability, and improved performance and quality of public services.
