"Setiawan set three records, namely the World Talent Book, URF Asean, and ABR Icon Award 2023 as the Top Talent of the Year," Uno noted in a press release received here on Wednesday.
Setiawan broke the world record of memorizing 170 songs based on the sequence by playing the piano nonstop while blindfolded.
The record was made when he played at the Indonesian Consulate General (KJRI) in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Before performing in Dubai, Setiawan also participated in record-breaking events and received support from Indonesian representatives in Berlin, Singapore, and New Delhi.
Minister Uno also commended the Sparkling Singers, an independent ensemble from Surabaya, East Java, who recently won the World Choir Games in Gangneung, South Korea, for the "Champion of Pop Ensembles" category and the "Champion of Pop Jazz" category.
The group was also a "Grand Prix Finalist" at the Bali International Choir Festival held in July 2023.
"Currently, the Sparkling Singers have around 50 members, with an average age of 15 years and over," he remarked.
Meanwhile, the ministry's Deputy for Digital Economy and Creative Products, Muhammad Neil El Himam, said his side continues collaboration and promotion to support and accommodate creative economy actors.
For instance, the ministry holds acceleration and incubation programs for the music sector.
"The ministry also visited several regions to see the potential of music industry players in utilizing the digital era, so that they can market their works well," he stated.
