The event is a forum that is very effective in bringing together the demand and supply of Indonesian migrant workers, the ministry's Director General of Industrial Relations and Workers' Social Security Indah Anggoro Putri stated.
"This activity, which is aimed at expanding the job market abroad, is one of the agendas of the Manpower Ministry's nine leaps to realize Indonesia's full employment," she noted in a statement issued by the ministry on Friday.
Putri also remarked that Abu Dhabi has job opportunities that Indonesian migrant workers can seize.
These job opportunities include in the hospitality, health, and oil and gas sectors, which have the highest demand for Indonesian migrant workers, in addition to other job market opportunities that can be seized by experienced workers from Indonesia.
She expressed hope that from the Indonesian Healthcare Business Matching event, cooperation between Indonesian migrant workers placement companies and companies in Abu Dhabi can be built.
She believes that Indonesian migrant workers' placement companies and companies in Abu Dhabi can be committed to carrying out a safe, orderly, and targeted placement process.
The Indonesian Healthcare Business Matching 2023 was attended by around 40 companies in the UAE, especially those engaged in the health sector, such as hospitals and clinics.
At Thursday's event, Indonesian stakeholders were represented by five best Indonesian migrant workers' placement companies in the health sector.
According to data from the Indonesian Migrant Workers' Protection Agency (BP2MI), from January 2023 to August 2023, some 382 placements of Indonesian migrant workers to the UAE were recorded.
