The National Alms Agency (Baznas) is working hand in hand with Egyptian Misr Al Kheir Foundation to deliver humanitarian aid for Palestine via the Rafah Gate, Egypt, using a total of 12 container trucks.
"A total of 12 container trucks will deliver humanitarian aid for Palestine in two batches. Six trucks distributed the aid in the first batch on November 4, while the rest will follow on November 11," Indonesian Deputy Chief of Mission in Egypt, M. Zaim, stated.
In a statement received here on Tuesday, Zaim explained that the humanitarian assistance comprised packages containing mineral water, packaged juice, nuts, and flour, adding that the aid has been adjusted to the needs of the people in Gaza, Palestine.
"Intensive cooperation with Egyptian renowned institutions, especially Misr Al Kheir, has helped ensure that distribution of the aid is consistent with the quality standards needed in Palestine," he stated.

Meanwhile, Baznas' Deputy for Distribution and Empowerment, Saidah Sakwan, extended the agency's gratitude to all people, companies, and alms agencies in Indonesia for their active participation in supporting the humanitarian effort.
"We would like to thank all parties involved. This aid is financed by funds collected from the people of Indonesia through central Baznas, provincial Baznas, district/municipal Baznas, partner companies, alms management agencies, and alms collecting units," she remarked.
She noted that Baznas had established cooperation with Egyptian alms agency Bayt Zakat Wa Shadaqat and Egyptian Red Crescent Society with the support of the Indonesian Embassy in Egypt.
Furthermore, Sakwan stated that the agency is receiving donations from people seeking to participate in the humanitarian effort, while noting that they can submit their donations via the agency's official website.
"This effort serves as concrete proof of the kindness of the Indonesian people and seriousness of Baznas in distributing aid to the people of Palestine in need. Hopefully, this effort will bring about blessings and hope to them," she stated.
