"The location of this office is more strategic and can be used for coordination with tourism and creative economy stakeholders in the super priority tourism area of Labuan Bajo," Uno noted in an official statement received here on Wednesday.
On Tuesday (December 5), the minister made a working visit to Labuan Bajo to attend the national coordination meeting to discuss development of the five super priority tourism destinations (DPSP).
During the working visit, he visited the BPOLBF office, which is a work unit under the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry.
According to Uno, the office, located on Soekarno Hatta Street, is strategic to provide optimal public services to local stakeholders.
He said, the office can optimize coordination among 11 BPOLBF working units.
In addition, Uno praised BPOLBF for accepting students for taking up an internship at the office.

He expressed hope that the opportunity to intern at BPOLBF would provide valuable experience for the interns to support the tourism ecosystem in Labuan Bajo.
"Hopefully, our younger generation will become skilled workers in the tourism and creative economy ecosystem in Labuan Bajo," he stated.
President Director of BPOLBF Shana Fatina said her side is open to providing excellent public services and strengthening coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
She is optimistic that coordination among stakeholders can be well-established for the development of Labuan Bajo's tourism.
Labuan Bajo is one of the five DPSPs, along with Lake Toba in North Sumatra, Borobudur Temple in Central Java, Mandalika in West Nusa Tenggara, and Likupang in North Sulawesi.
The government is also accelerating infrastructure and facilities that are needed to support tourism development in Labuan Bajo.
