"Yes, it will continue. It cannot stop," he remarked at the inauguration of the Pamulang-Cinere-Raya Bogor Toll Road at the Limo Utama Toll Gate (GT) in Depok, on Monday.
According to Jokowi, the 42 PSNs, worth Rp1,427.36 trillion, are currently still ongoing.
Meanwhile, Director of Freeway from the Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Ministry, Triono Junoasmono, stated that the main challenge in completing the PSNs was land acquisition.
He noted that complicated land acquisition procedures will hamper the completion of PSNs and make it difficult to finish them on the expected date.
"We initially targeted one year of land acquisition, but it turned out to be delayed," he remarked.
Hence, his side collaborates with the State Asset Management Institute (LMAN) to finish PSNs' work right on target.
Junoasmono noted that some toll road projects are included in the 42 PSNs comprising the Serang-Panimbang Toll Road for which completion was postponed until 2025 due to land issues.
As of October 4, 2023, some 170 PSNs have been completed, with a budget of Rp1,299.41 trillion. Meanwhile, 61 projects are currently in the construction stage.
The president projects that 25 PSNs, with an investment value of Rp151.58 trillion, will be inaugurated during the period from January to October 20, 2024.
This Monday, he inaugurated the Pamulang-Cinere-Raya Bogor Toll Road as one of the PSNs. The Limo Utama Toll Gate marks the meeting of two toll roads, namely the Cijago Toll Road section 3 and Sercin Toll Road section 2.
The connection of the two toll roads can increase connectivity of the Jakarta Outer Ring Road 2 (JORR 2) toll road network and bring greater social and economic benefits to society, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono remarked.
