The scope of collaboration includes the development of a digital claim system and payment system for all health facilities.
Director of Compliance and Inter-Agency Relations of BPJS Kesehatan Mundiharno, in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday, expressed hope that the cooperation would bring significant benefits to both countries, especially in improving the accessibility and quality of health services for the community.
"This collaboration involves the exchange of expertise and knowledge between the two institutions to strengthen the social health security systems in both countries,” Mundiharno remarked.
“By sharing experiences, BPJS Kesehatan and HIRA hope to improve the quality of health services and accessibility for people in accessing health services in each country," he remarked.
He explained that the cooperation in future will be in the form of holding joint seminars, conferences, workshops, and other professional-level meetings as well as conducting joint research, training, consultations, and publications.
Mundiharno stated that through the exchange of information and experience, especially related to the Digital Claims System and Anti-Fraud handling in the National Health Insurance Program (JKN), BPJS Kesehatan and HIRA can strengthen the health insurance system, both in Indonesia and South Korea.
He believes that the cooperation carried out can bring significant benefits to society, especially in Indonesia and South Korea, as well as be a strong basis for optimizing the social security system in the health sector.
"This collaboration marks a positive step in strengthening bilateral cooperation in the health sector between Indonesia and South Korea and confirms the commitment of both countries to improve welfare and health protection for their people," he affirmed.
Besides the BPJS Kesehatan team, the activity was also attended by Executive Director of Strategy and Management of HIRA, Soo-Suk Oh.
