BKN Acting Head Haryomo Dwi Putranto remarked that the agency will use the assessment result to determine the competency and potential of state employees transferred to the new capital.
"The assessment will continue until all vacancies are fulfilled. We want those transferred to be proven to have the necessary capabilities," Putranto noted at the press conference here on Tuesday.
The agency head stated that the competency test had taken place since 2022, with 22,436 state employees attending the test that year.
Meanwhile, 96,760 employees had taken the test in 2023, and as of February 2024, some 2,430 state employees had attended the test this year, he remarked.
The competency test is intended to determine the state apparatus' competency in digital literacy and their personal capacity regarding the BerAKHLAK core values for state employees, he explained.
The BerAKHLAK core values are being service-oriented, accountable, competent, harmonious, loyal, adaptive, and collaborative.
"Hence, employees transferred (to Nusantara City) will fulfill the appropriate criteria (right) from the competency, potential, to moral integrity aspects," Putranto stated.
He explained that state apparatus relocated to the new capital will be those employed at central government-level agencies, such as ministries and government bodies.
Some 84 central government agencies are currently based in Jakarta and the surrounding areas, with some having indicated their readiness to relocate to Nusantara City, the BKN acting head noted.
"BKN has organized some activities to support the relocation of state employees to Nusantara City. Meanwhile, the general policy, of course, will be informed by the state apparatus and bureaucratic reform minister," Putranto remarked.
