Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Air Force's C-130J Super Hercules aircraft transporting equipment for the distribution of humanitarian aid for Palestinians in Gaza arrived at the Amman International Airport in Jordan.

Head of the Information Center of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Major General Nugraha Gumilar stated when contacted in Jakarta on Monday that the Indonesian aircraft landed in Amman on Sunday (March 31).

The transported equipment, comprising 900 personnel parachutes and 50 cargo parachutes, has been unloaded from the Super Hercules and handed over to the authority that will execute aerial delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

During a ceremony at the airport, Colonel Noto Casnoto, as commander of the Super Hercules transport team, handed over the parachutes to the Jordanian authority.

Indonesian Ambassador to Jordan Ade Padmo Sarwono and Indonesian Defense Attaché at the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo Colonel Aria S. attended the ceremony.

According to the plan, the Jordanian Air Forces will utilize the parachutes to distribute food, mineral water, and medicines donated by Indonesian people using the airdrop method, considering that road access to Gaza has been severely restricted due to Israeli aggression.
