"I truly appreciate companies that have been supporting and synergizing with the government to run Eid homecoming programs for workers and their families," she stated in Jakarta on Sunday.
The minister praised public and private companies that have taken initiatives to carry out free homecoming programs, such as Adira Finance, which is facilitating homecoming trips for 500 people residing in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, and Serang.
"I would like to appreciate Adira Finance for facilitating 500 people to return to their hometowns in West Java and Central Java," she remarked.
In this year's Eid exodus, the private company has prepared a total of 10 buses to transport the homecoming program participants via northern and southern Java.
Those traveling via the northern route will arrive in or pass by Brebes, Tegal, Pekalongan, Semarang, and Solo, while those on the southern route will travel across Tasikmalaya, Garut, Ciamis, Sumedang, and Banjar.
The free homecoming program is drawing participation from 350 Adira customers, 100 employees of the company, and 50 other travelers.
According to the director of the finance company, Sigit Hendra Gunawan, the number of travelers joining this year's free Eid homecoming program is two times higher than that registered during the 2023 edition.
He then noted that the program is also meant to bring joy to those working in rest areas in addition to facilitating homecomers.
The program participants traveling via the northern route are involved in the distribution of 100 packages of staple goods to employees working in Rest Area KM 1664 on Cipali Toll Road, he said.
"We are involving the travelers in a charity activity to share joy and care with other people during this blessed moment," he stated.
