Jasa Marga's head of the marketing and communication department, Faiza Riani, said on Saturday that the figure is a cumulative number of vehicles moving in from four main toll gates (GTs) in West Java.
The total traffic volume returning to Jabotabek increased by 20.4 percent compared to normal traffic of 391,796 vehicles.
"When compared to the 2023 Eid period, the total traffic volume was 6.9 percent lower, with a total of 506,646 vehicles," she said.
She added that 225,882 vehicles (47.9 percent) returned to Jabotabek from Trans Java and Bandung, 137,738 vehicles (29.2 percent) from Merak, and 108,174 vehicles (22.9 percent) from Puncak.
Riani said that the number of vehicles returning to Jabotabek from Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road reached 113,452, an increase of 46.9 percent compared to normal.

Eid travelers who are still in their hometowns are being urged to schedule their trip back to Jabotabek. The return flow period will be fairly short compared to the homecoming flow and is expected to peak on April 15.
"We urge Eid travelers to return sooner before the peak of the return flow," she said.
