"I want to enjoy my last months before the end of my tenure by working there. It is part of my short-term aspiration," the minister stated here on Monday (April 22).
Effendy said he had made a joint promise with Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono to go to their new office in Nusantara City together.
"I have made a promise with Minister Hadimuljono that, perhaps, we will move (to the new capital) together," the coordinating minister stated.
He noted that the ministry's new office complex in Nusantara City will be among the first developments to be complete.
Effendy also said he made no particular request about the new office complex design, as he trusted Hadimuljono with the process.

"Minister Hadimuljono knows better about what my ministry needs. Hence, I have no particular request about how my new office should be. I am not an expert in that field too," he noted.
"The most important aspect now is that I will start working there," the coordinating minister remarked.
The Public Works and Public Housing Ministry's Nusantara Capital City Infrastructure Development Task Force earlier revealed that the state palace and the president's office in the new capital will be ready at the earliest by next July.
"The president will be allocated two building complexes, i.e., the Presidential Office and the State Palace. God Willing, they will be functional by July or August," the task force head, Danis Sumadilaga, stated.
The government planned to organize Indonesia's 79th Independence anniversary ceremony on August 17 in Nusantara City. The date will also mark the start of the national capital relocation from Jakarta to the new capital.
Apart from the State Palace ceremony ground, the authority also prepared the palace, a memorial park, and accommodations for the upcoming independence ceremony.
